Conservation Fishing License Information

Wilderness North will prepare your eight day ($25USD) or seasonal ($39USD) Conservation Fishing License. This license entitles you to have in your possession two northern pike (less than 27.5 inches) and two walleye (only one over 18 inches). Wilderness North guests catch and release all brook trout. Our Let's Go Fishing video also includes information about your Conservation License. Ontario’s Conservation Officers wish to be clear that possession is not a daily creel limit.

Upon arrival we will provide your party with a complete printed copy of the current regulations as they apply to your destination. A summary of possession and size limits will be reviewed with you before we fly you out. The site www.mnr.gov.on.ca/MNR/fishing has diagrams of fish species, tips on the release of live fish, and regulations by district. When viewing the official regulations, our Albany River Watershed destinations are in Division 20, our Ogoki River Watershed destinations are in Division 33, and Lake Nipigon is Division 34 by itself.
